Understanding government disaster support

The Australian Government, in collaboration with the New South Wales government, offer support to individuals affected by eligible natural disaster events. This support is provided through the framework known as the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA). Under the DRFA, the Australian Government may contribute up to 75% of the available assistance for individuals and communities, while the specific areas and types of assistance provided are determined by the New South Wales government.
